Chartering a Troupe

The Educational Theatre Association's is the world’s largest honor society for recognizing excellence and achievement in educational theatre. More than 2 million students have been inducted into ITS since its founding in 1929. Through EdTA membership, Thespians have access to college auditions, scholarships, and many other benefits.

To join EdTA Canada you need teacher or volunteer adult approved by your schools administrator to charter a troupe with the International Thespian Society. A troupe that is being charted for the first time must induct a minimum of six students and pay the necessary fees.

Thanks to the generosity and partnership with TheatreFolk an additional benefit for our Canadian troupes is that schools with a registered troupe will be able to get a discount when purchasing materials from them.
