Canadian National Thespian Fest

Info on the Thespy's
This is our Canadian National Thespian Festival. It serves as a Thespy qualifier for the International Thespian Festival which happens each June in Indiana. In the next number of years we will also develop an in-person CNTF too!!
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME...

9:00am -- Welcome! And Opening
  • Welcome from our Current PTO around Canada
  • Welcome from our International EdTA Special Guest TBA

9:30am - 10:45am -- Live Workshop Session 1 (DROP-IN)
11am - 12 noon -- Introduction to the Thespys
12:15pm - 1:30pm -- Live Workshop Session 2 (DROP-IN)
1:45pm - 3pm -- Live Workshop #3 (DROP-IN) or Live Special Performance by TBA
3:15pm - 4:30pm -- Live Workshop #4 (DROP-IN)
4:45pm -- Thespy and One-Act Plays Available for Viewing on our Festival Portal
5:00pm - 7:00pm -- Watch One-Act Plays & Thespys
7:00pm - 9:00pm -- One-Act Play and Thespy Adjudication - General Notes

EVERYTHING WILL BE ACCESSED THROUGH OUR ONLINE FESTIVAL PLATFORM: https://canada-virtual.cothespians.net/authake/user/login​

YOU WILL GET YOUR PASSWORD TO THE EVENT PLATFORM ONCE REGISTRATION CLOSES ON March 15th.

ZOOM ROOM CODES TO SPECIFIC SESSIONS AND WORKSHOPS WILL BE POSTED ON THE EVENT PLATFORM 24 HOURS BEFORE THE FESTIVAL.
Festival Registration Cost:
$10.00 for inducted Thespians and $15.00 for non-inducted students.
Plus:
$50 cost per Chapter Select One-Act Play Entered (max one per school)
$5 per Thespy Event Entered (max three new entries per student) - for schools already participating in Adjudicated Thespys during the Introduction to the Thespys session.


Teacher Pro-D Enrollment: $25.00 ​

If funding is an issue for your school and you are at an inner city school there may be funding available to help bring down your festival registration costs. Please contact craig@educationaltheatre.ca for more information.
