How To:

Resources:

Induct Thespians -
You can do that from your membership portal - HERE.
Thespian Point System - 10 points to induction:
  • One point represents approximately 10 hours of excellent work. Use this formula in awarding points for items not specifically listed in the point system.
  • To become a Thespian, a student must earn 10 points (the equivalent of 100 hours of excellent work). 5 of those points should be acquired at the school where they are to be inducted.
  • At the troupe director’s discretion, students may earn up to 5 points toward induction through participation in community, children’s, or professional theatre.
  • Thespian membership is offered to all students who qualify. No student can be elected to the troupe, nor can a student be denied membership if all membership requirements have been met.

New School Year "To Do" List For Troupe Directors

Welcome back!
While you’re gearing up for the new school year, check these items off your troupe ‟to do” list.
Everything you need is on your troupe dashboard page. Just log in, then click Troupe Business at the top right of the page to take you there.

Update your troupe profile - in the members portal - HERE
On your troupe dashboard page, click the Troupe profile link and update the contact information.
Note: If this will be your first year as troupe director at your current school, do not edit the profiles of your troupe or the previous director. Instead, you’ll need to register as the new troupe director.

Renew your troupe in the members portal - HERE
You have until October 21st to submit the $129 fee. You will generate an invoice and pay by credit card, getting a receipt that will allow reimbursement from the school.

Review your troupe roster and alumni list in the members portal - HERE
On your troupe dashboard check that everyone who should be inducted is on the list with the correct status - either Active Thespian or Alumni Thespian. PLEASE NOTE - you must have a minimum of 6 Active Thespians on your troupe roster in order to maintain your troupe status. As students graduate please replenish your list so that you have an active troupe.

Note: It could take a few weeks past September 1st for students’ profiles to advance automatically to the next grade and for graduates to move from your active roster to your alumni list.

Have a great school year!
